Folie à Deux a “madness of two”.

Joker: Folie à Deux is an upcoming American musical psychological thriller film directed by Todd Phillips. The film serves as the sequel to Joker (2019). The film stars Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as Arthur Fleck / Joker, alongside Lady Gaga, Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener.

The sequel of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker movie has been anticipated after the first movie received critical as well as audience acclamations. The second movie in the series, Joker: Folie à Deux, is said to be a musical story focusing on Lady Gaga’s character of Harley Quinn. As first look photos of Gaga’s take on the character have set the internet on buzz, a new video from the sets shows the actress singing as Harley Quinn.

The upcoming superhero movie musical has enlisted the talent of one of the world’s best singers. In continuation of the madness with a musical twist, the new set video has hyped up fans. A video posted by a fan account of the Joker movie shared a sneak peek at Lady Gaga singing as Harley Quinn on the set of Joker: Folie à Deux.

The choice by director Todd Phillips to take Lady Gaga in Joker: Folie à Deux was questioned by DC fans. However, as her first look came out, they were enthralled and convinced she could easily pull the job – similar to the reaction to most castings of previous Batman actors such as Ben Affleck and Robert Pattinson.

Joker: Folie à Deux being a musical is a great choice, while unconventional, as it allows for a deep dive into the minds of the Joker and Harley Quinn, as the duo falls in love at Arkham Asylum, and attempts to escape, as set photos and videos suggest.

Joker 2: Folie à Deux is scheduled to be released on October 4, 2024.

    Ok…so I had my doubts about Rocketman being a musical….and I stood corrected…I LOVED IT!!! I love Gaga…she is good …and I wouldn't dare diss HER…but THIS movie as musical? Well…Phoenix CAN sing…as we saw in Walk The Line…and Gaga no doubt has the pipes…but a DC musical? I just don't know…I'm torn. The acting, the singing…that will work…just hope the writing will pull through.

    I don’t care what anyone says, this role was MADE for Heath Ledger in dark knight & now it’ll never be the same. He made the Joker such a lovable BAD ASS character, Joaquin made him sad and frumpy.

    I GOT IT! I bet it’ll be Harley Quinn’s perspective when she’s with the joker or how she feels about him. All the singing is probably just happening inside her head and at one point it will show the scenes and how they actually happened without the signing.

    Lady Gaga ruins everything she touches, I have faith in Todd Phillips but I guarantee you the musical component of this sequel was entirely Gaga’s idea. I’m hoping for the best but man this already looks like it’s heading in a very different direction.
